About Us:

Our Mission:

Through a variety of philanthropic and social activities, HFXGreekLife inspires its members to adopt essential values such as leadership, empathy and ambition, and to always strive for excellence.

Greek Letter Organizations unite students at Dalhousie University, the University of King's College, Saint Mary's University, Mount St. Vincent University and other members of the Halifax community. In addition to the social opportunities presented by these connections, Halifax fraternities and sororities promote an active, balanced lifestyle of academics, leadership, and community service/philanthropy. Members of Greek organizations strive to maintain high grades, to volunteer in the local community, and to get involved while being leaders in other campus organizations.

Not only do Greek members donate thousands of dollars annually to local and national charities, but the Greek grade point average is consistently higher than the non-Greek grade point average. Plus, being Greek is fun, too!

Membership in a Greek organization is a lifelong commitment, but, in return, members can expect to make lasting memories and relationships that last a lifetime.

If you're interested in joining our Greek community, most organizations have formal recruitment events in September and January each year. Keep checking this page for updates or look out for posters around Halifax to get involved in many activities throughout the year.

Hey Greeks! I am Colin Cooper. I’m so excited about all the wonderful things we’re going to be doing this year in Halifax! I hope to incorporate more philanthropic initiatives as well as better the overall image of Greek Life. I am in my fourth year of studies of a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Political Science, and a minor in Law.  I’m a member of The Phi Kappa Pi Fraternity, and I currently take up the position as Treasurer.  I'm so excited to lead a fantastic Executive team.
